No I do not know what this one is, that is why I'm asking here. I took this picture on a trip to England earlier this year while near Stonehenge sorry for poor image quality, it is a scanned photograph that is enlarged and cropped so you can see it better.
I know, the lighting is terrible

&&&&That's right, I'm now using an AMD! I decided to give them another try and they kicked the pants off of my P4 3.4!

It looks like a powered glider of some sort. They're quite popular over here these days. Not sure of the type. I shall have to investigate further. If you saw it near Stonehenge it could be based at Thruxton.

Any advance on this?
The Slingsby T.61 "Falke" Self-launching Motor Glider (SLMG). Known as the Venture by the Air Training Corps. A German design originally built by Scheibe as the successful SF-25B Falke.

That has got to be it! I remember it sounding like a ride on lawnmower on steroids
Thanks Hagar, it was bothering me that I could not identify it

Definately the Venture. I've been up in one a few times. Nice little VW Beetle air-cooled engine up front. It was the only glider I felt safe in!!!
There are two types of aeroplane, Spitfires and everything else that wishes it was a Spitfire!

Call that a glider.
Some people have no soul. And this is a man who thinks nothing of leaping out of perfectly airworthy aeroplanes.
This is a proper glider. The good ol' T.31 Cadet Mk III I learned on. Soaring qualities of your average house brick. One circuit of the field from a winch launch if you're lucky. You young'uns don't know you're born these days.

I know that I was born (or possibly burst from my mother and scuttled down a sewer to evolve), its the terminal ending trying to fly something like that which scares me
