Ok, I have 2 questions:

1.  I have a plane with a GPWS system on it and would like to have those call outs added to some of my other a/c.  Really, the altitude call outs and terrain warnings are all I am looking for as they definitely make it more believeable.

2.  I have a radar guage by eric marciano that I would like to add to other a/c too.  One problem is I don't know how to move it and another is it does not seem to work in FS2004 due to FSUIPC program or something like that.

Any help would be appreciated.  Anyone else here a "real" pilot?

1.  Doing this involves editing the panel.cfg.  This is a tedious little process, so if you'll send me the panel.cfg of both aircraft (the one with the gauge sounds and the one without) by tomorrow (11/16) night, I'll see if I can get them in.

2.  To get it to work, you're gonna need FSUIPC, which is a payware program that many gauges have started to require.  It allows much of the inner workings of FS to be available to you to meddle with, making FS a little more customizable.  It also allows different programs to interface with FS.

It sounds as if Ender has things well in hand with your GPWS problem.  As to FSUIPC, it's not completely payware.  You can get the basic, limited functionality module here http://www.schiratti.com/dowson.html for free.

Once you figure out which gauge controls the radar (probably f16.gau) you can either pay for a fully registered version of FSUIPC (instructions here http://forums.simflight.com/viewtopic.php?t=8906&sid=40c914fe8b55cd5a6023dc6c9cc...; ) or register only the f16.gau for free (instructions here http://forums.simflight.com/viewtopic.php?t=10812&sid=40c914fe8b55cd5a6023dc6c9c... )

Hey guys,

Even i have the GPWS but non of them are assigned to any aircraft. I downloaded them from the sounds menu and there is no read me file also.

So i only have the various sounds in .wav format.

How can i assign these sounds an aircraft?

Can someone send me a panel.cfg, highlighting the line which is required in other panel.cfg files inorder for the GPWS to work.

Also, i haven't heard about the radar guage by eric marciano. Is it a freeware of payware and where can i get it from.

Help would be gladly appreciated.

As Ender said, it's just a matter of putting the gauge in the panel.cfg file and the sounds in the sounds folder.  I don't use callouts so I'll let him explain how to do it.

The radar gauge I mentioned (f16.gau) is free.  Here http://emarciano.flightsimmer.com/F16panel.htm is one place to get it.

You can put it into other aircraft but you will need to know a little about panel editing.  Make sure you read my post about registering it.

Another note:  There is a difference between a GPWS, which is a warning light and sometimes a voice that says "Pull up", and a callout gauge, which calls out your altitude as you are landing.
