SmileyGood Day,

I keep getting the dreaded "Generation Quick Combat failed"

As soon as this happens "Mission Builder" no longer works.

I have read various articles on this and it seems to be either too many planes (not in my case) or a problem with an add on aircraft.

My questions are :-

1/ Is there a way to check the suitability of the addon before instalation.
2/ If the problem occurs how do I recover with out having to "Completely" remove the programe and all its folders and then reinstal.
3/ Is there a particular file that corrupts when this fault happens and if so can it be reinstalled.

Would appreciate any suggestions to this forum as well as my email colin@toyota.co.zw

Best regards

Hi Colin. This could be caused by anything & almost impossible to track down. The best way over it might be a duplicate install of CFS2. Rename the CFS2 root directory folder to any other name. Then insert the CD & install in the usual way. You will now have 2 separate installations of CFS2 that run independently. The last one you installed will be the the "master" install & the Mission Builder will work in that one by default.

Gday all.

on the topic "CFS 2 Mission Builder":

does anyone know can you use Mission Builder to put the fs2002 scenery into the cfs2 world?
(especially the egyptian pyramids & sphinx?)

Hi Roc-Head. I'm almost certain the FS2002 default scenery would not be compatible with CFS2. However, I posted a little tute explaining how it's done with the FS2000 scenery. http://www.simviation.com/lair/fs2kincfs2.htm

Here's another one on using imported scenery in the MB. http://www.simviation.com/lair/Scene2MbDb.html
