Hello all...

If you haven't figured it out by now...I am pretty Navy oriented.  Smiley  Anyways...here are some photos of carrier operations compiled from years of photography and being around navy aircraft.  Enjoy!

You  might say I am a little Tomcat biased.  I have some Hornet pics stored away and will get those out so I do not appear to be TOO Tomcat oriented.  More later.  Enjoy!

Anytime, baby.

The food was alright.  Not the greatest.  But I only had to eat it for one day!  I can see how if you had to live on a boat like that for six months you might get used to it though.  These were also taken when I was like 10 years old as is evidence by the A-6's and A-7's near the fantail in some of the shots.

The tanker refueling shot I found in my dad's photo album...I thought it was interesting and rather unique so thats why I put it up.

Those pics bring back alot of memories.  I did one major deployment each on the USS America and the USS Enterprise in the early 1980s.  Food wasn't too bad (steak and lobster on a few occasions). We ate lots of roast beef too.  My job was maintenance of weapons systems on A-6 Intruders.

Thanks for the pics!

Dude, those are some sweet shots.  As much as I enjoyed the time I was able to spend on the Lincoln in '97 and as much as I love the Hornet... it still would have been awesome to be able to see a 'Cat launch and recover.  Awesome aircraft.

That's actually an A-6E (regular bomber version) with a "buddy store" on the centerline.  The aircraft is also carrying empty multiple ejector racks (MERs) and drop tanks.
