Well I delayed it long enough & stretched my finances to the absolute limit ..... 6 years running & growing this site has been DAMNED expensive - taking my house in its wake. & that doesn't begin to think of the time involved.
All involved in Simviation should be proud of what we have achieved to date:
10's of millions of files provided to users around the globe - providing incalculable hours of fun to millions of individual users.
Significant contacts made between major aviation & military authorities & computer flight simulation developers.
Information provided to millions of Flight Simmers to help them enhance their sim ....
& much more ...
The aim of this optional Premier Membership is to put Simviation on a realistic plateau - & it is intended to bring in more benefits & attractions as the months go by -
& obviously access to the free site & all freeware files will remain free to all. (So no complaints about 'I can't afford it', 'I don't have a credit card' , etc . ....
..Please!)

Ooo. Its in dollars though. How are we doing it for us poor mortals in the UK?
I worked it out as £10.7460 GBP Lol.... I might have it for Christmas. Thing is I spend most of my time on the forum, (Which keeps the ads) and my connection cannot get above 6.0kbps, so the uprated bandwidth would do me no good. We'll see, its very good of you to keep the the site free too.

Pete,
I'm in.
Thanks for so many years of excellence in freeware distribution, info and especially the forums. I always felt a little guilty getting so much for nothing, so I sure don't mind paying the fee......best,

wait a couple more weeks and you might get a few more pennies knocked off the price. LOL sorry i tend to keep a close eye on the exchange rate, the higher it goes the more money i have for college, as long as it doesnt drop in the next year to drastically.
Back to topic i will be signing up but it will have to wait till after christmas though.

I have gotten so much from this this site I would have given you $20 if had just you asked nicely. Since you are willing to toss in a bonus I'll take it (I signed up for a premier membership a couple of days ago).
I haven't noticed any increased download speed - although with DSL and most files under 5 Mb I don't know whether it would be noticeable.

I'll likely purchase this premium membership when I get the money, right now I'm on such a tight budget I can barely pay my bills. I do have 0$ in credit card debt and I payed my house of years ago but I still have to regulate the how long my lights are on in my house (right now they are all off!). That past hurricane really hurt my wallet

I'm very sorry, pete, but I can't join the "Premier Members" league (yet).
I don't have a credit card myself and my dad certainly won't help me out with his one.
But I promise - I'll join up in the next five years (need a real job first
).

And sorry Jared this $20 has Pete's name on it
Come to think of it even though membership includes increased download speed, that won't make any differance with dial-up now will it?

I'm guessing it's in US dollars?
If so, it's a bit expensive for us young Australians.
Sorry Pete, maybe in a few years when I get a good paying job ($9 an hour just isn't enough).
