It would be increddible to fly a YF-19 or VF-1 from Macross in FS04.   I have a model of a VF-1 I created, but I suck with Gmax and converting things from one engine to another.

There is one VF-1 avalible that I found, but it has no VC, and needs some work.  I am willing to help out as best I can for this project, but I cannot model the YF-19 due to lack of good refrence pictures.

this is the YF-19
...
The YF-19, and the VF-1 next to each other
...
The VF-1 its self
...
and my model can be seen here:

That model you created looks very nice!  Why can't you convert it?  Its not a difficult process, just takes a little setting up with Gmax to get it right . . .

thnx.  I don't know the process.  If there is a tutorial out there somewhere about it, hook me up with a link and I will take a look.

The problems I face is making things on it work, like flaps, landing gear, and such.  I know 3Dmax6 well, but thats all for high end rendering.

Take a good look at the Aircraft and 3D Design Board.  Pay special attention to the sticky threads at the top.  They contain a wealth of information on making flyable aircraft for FS.

Also, check out the FFDS site (link in my signature) for a great set of tutorials on all kinds of 3D modelling.

And if worse comes to worse, just ask questions in the Design Board.  Remember: there are no stupid questions, yada-yada-yada . . . Wink
