I recently purchased the Flight One Pipe Meridian. It is one nice aircraft, with one exception. The Garmin 500. I guess one has to be much more technically oriented than me to be able to do anything with this instrument. I even went so far as to purchase XP Reality's 530-XP, and that really put me into orbit. It would be nice to be able to fly that aircraft with the old standby MS GPS so someone like myself could at least enjoy flying an expensive payware aircraft using either FS9 flight planner or FSNavigator. (They are much less agravating to use.)
Has anyone out there been able to figure this thing out? I am burned out from reading XP reality's and the Meridian manuals to no avail.
Thanks: Totally frustrated.

I can't quite understand what you want but I have a hunch, If you want to be able to use the Default FS9 GPS and the Reality XP one you will have to edit the panel.cfg by adding a window entry that contains the FS9 GPS. Is that what you want?
AMD Athlon 64 3700+&&GeForce FX5200 256Mb&&1GB DDR400 DC&&Seagate 500Gb SATA-300 HDD&&Windows XP Professional X64 Edition
&&&&That's right, I'm now using an AMD! I decided to give them another try and they kicked the pants off of my P4 3.4!

Thanks for the comeback Chomp_Rock, I went to the Flight One forum sight and they have helped me with my problems with the Garmin 530. I just could't wrap my old brain around the method required to program the unit. But things are getting clearer now.
Thanks.

Yes, the GNS530 is a new ball-game
compared to the default FS9 G500. I've posted some relevant manual screenshots at one of my sites for those interested.

p.s. wait 'till you try the HT1000 in F-1's new ATR72-500!
