I agree Skligmund. It does look better with a white belly. Basically this is just a learning experience. Somethings will work, somethings won't, but overall Im slowly figuring it out.

SaVas, I would say that is pretty good! The hardest part about repainting is getting the stripes to line up perfectly. Since I usually find the repaint files have the fuselage broken up in 3 or more parts.
Good job!

Sorry if I borrow your thread, this is what I came up with: PalmAir
Still needs lots of tweaking though, this is a quick draft of how I like my liveries: Colorful and creative
PS. Did I mention that Miami Vice is my fave TV-show

Haha, I was just a kid when the show was originally broadcasted, but I was able to catch the re-runs when I was in my lower teens, and since then I have loved the show
Michael Mann is actually writing a manuscript for a 'Miami Vice' motion picture, Colin Farrell (Phonebooth, among others) and Jamie Foxx (Collateral) are a lock as Crockett and Tubbs! 8)
"hey Tubbs, ever considered a career in southern law enforcement?"

That is a good looking plane. Like the livery! For a first effort it's VERY good. I know what you are going through I too just tried to do my first repaint.
I tried to repaint a CV-580. Other than touching up the default dc-3 this was my first effort.

Looking good, I think the gray top and blue lower fuselage looks good.
