I am assembling a semi realistic Jetstar panel from a basic freeware download used with Mike Stone's Jetstar. I have downloaded Jetstar cockpit photos from airliners.net and am using them to create bitmaps.  My questions are as follows.

Does anyone know of a free paint program thats easier to use than MS Paint? For manipulating the bitmap backgrounds.

Also, does anyone know how to configure fuel tanks and cross-connects with gauges installed in the panels?
See, Jetstars have 4 tanks and a left and right auxiliary.  I believe FS by default can only recognize 3 tanks so how can I work around that provided I can find the appropriate gauges?  Anyone here good at making gauges with easy gauge or the like? Also, if I install APU gauges in the upper, must i enable APU functionality in the aircraft.cfg?  Thanks all.

I don't think you will find one thats easier Embarrassed

As far as painting programs go, MS Paint is probably the easiest one out there to use. Another good freeware program you could try is Pixia, but it may take a little while to learn all the functions Smiley

As for the fuel tanks, I know there are several aircraft out there that utilize up to 6 tanks.  Go look around in the Military downloads section.  Specifically look at the C-5s and others.  They'll have gauges that can do what you want.
