I dont know what other people have said, because I am inpatiant and scrolled all the way to the bottom and clicked reply. But I would suggest both. if your going to do one before the other, get the vid card first. it cost more and you will have that "I got that outta the way" feeling, and you may be happy with just that. personally, I am poor, so I use out dated stuff, and low ram on an old office computer... at least untill I start building one here pretty soon, you know, when I find a gold mine in my yard.

Okay, I have scraped up enough funding and worked a deal with my local PC shop. I have on order a 9800 Pro.  Should be able to pick it up by tuesday or wedensday.  He's letting mehave it for $190 with trade up of my current 9200 SE.  I could have gotten a 9600 XT for only $140 with trade or a 5700 LEfor $80 with trade. but, I decided to go high end while I have the unclaimed funding for it (wife knows nothing about it  Wink ).  I also priced out the 5900 nVidia and it would cost me the same $190 so the chart above made my choice for me. Afterall, it's probably easier driver wise to replace a radeon with a better radeon anyway.
