13 Sqn Typhoon at low level

Starter for 10:
The RAF's 13 Sqn dont fly Typhoon (yet?) so what aircraft do they fly?

they fly the Tornado GR 4a. I don't know if they'll recieve the typhoon any soon, since it is suposed to replave in the 1st place the F3's.

As far as I know ypu are right: the fighter squadrons are being re-equipped first, followed by the attack sqn's though i dont know which, or in what order. If anyone knows... then we'll have to move to the real aviation section Wink

The Typhoon will replace the F3 and Jag fleets effectively (although they won't have a ground atack capability til long after the Jag's gone).
The Gr4's are not being replaced by Typhoon so I suspect that, barring defence cuts, 13 Sqn will be a Tornado unit til it is replaced in 2018 or whenever. Typhoon will be replacing the F3 at Coningsby, then Leuchars and possibly Leeming, although the future of Leeming isn't secure by any means.
