How do i look around in the passenger area of an airliner? I downloaded 3 airlines with cabins and all I can do is move the eyepoint, and that barely gets past the cockpit door. I have seen screenshots that look like people are far into the cabins.  If you can help me i would greatly appreciate it  Smiley

Some planes you can, and others you cannot.  It depends on the plane.  In order to manuever through a plane that you can, you do so with the Virtual cockpit.

Use these key commands:

Ctrl + Shft + Enter = Move Starboard

Ctrl + Shft + Bcksp = Move Port

Ctrl + Enter = Move Aft

Ctrl + Bcksp = Move Forward

Shft + Enter = Move Up

Shft + Bcksp = Move Down

Between these, you can pretty much move anywhere you need...

Thank you for taking the time to answer my question, although the controls you have mentioned are used for the eyepoint. The eyepoint only has a certain range, unfortunatly, in most cases, i cannot move the eyepoint past the cockpit. I have moved the eyepoint just outside the cockpit door in an airbus, and saw that there was passenger seating in the plane. I was amazaed, and i had seen some screenshots from people that seemed like they had moved to the back of the passenger seating. I was wondering how they did it, as the passenger seating looks really detailed, and would like to be able to roam about the plane. If anyone knows how to do this, i would be very greatful.  Smiley

If it helps, those people were probably using Active Camera.  Its a payware program that also requires the use of FSUIPC, another payware product.  Both of them were freeware with FS2002! Roll Eyes

Smiley i downloaded active camera from www.anticyclone.be, and i bought it in 5 minutes. Im really impressed with it. If you dont have it yet, get it. It is only 15 dollars, and there is a free demo you can try out! THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR HELP!!!  8)

some features I am impressed with:
When you walk around outside on the cement next to your plane, you can hear your footsteps, and your head bobs!

When you get on the runway and floor the gas your camera gets thrown back into the seat and starts bobbing.

When you are in the air, and make a turn, your camera moves with it.

When you are sitting in a passenger seat, or are on the second floor of a boeing 747-400, and you look down at the wing during takeoff, the camera makes realistic actions when turning (on the ground, or in the air), or changing altitude.

Free roam mode lets you explore each individual seat in the plane in first person.

New fly-by mode lets me see my overall flying performance.

These are just some of the features in the DEMO. I just ordered the full program and can't wait to try out all the options!!!!

HI ,

I felt benson might be a newbie like myself and hated to take up a lot of room in the forum if I could help him with other questions .  It is also simpler to e-mail direct if exhanging lots of basic stuff .

I do really enjoy Active Camera and is great to be able to record a flight and play it back while riding as a passenger .   I had four recommendations of aircraft I have found with good virtual cabins .

yx717v2.zip -- virtual cabin is useful , but not photorealistic .  The wing view is nice .  You have to get a recommended panel .  Flies nicely .

gydef.zip ( Bill Lyons great Goodyear Blimp ) .  That Gondola is one of the neatest things ever to ride in . Hitting L turns on the light and ceiling fan .  Really FUN !!

Mid Atlantic Air Museum RH4-d ( DC-3 ) -- magnificent virtual cabins and just fantastic overall !

The remarkable Howard 500 is a real joy .  I was disappointed at first because the cabin curtains were closed .  You can hit Shift E to open the step and Shift and E and 2 quickly will open the curtains .    May take several attempts to figure out the technique .   This is a must have addition .

If you have other suggestions , please let me know .

Thanks ,

Jamie

HI again ,

I knew I had another plane that I really like and has a beautiful passenger compartment which I think is only the first class area .  It is the Meljet
MJ772haw.zip .

Jenson, everyone was new once, lol.

Anyway, where could I download these aircraft? Avsim, SimV, or No-Nodes? (Flightsim.com)

EDIT: Nevermind, found it at surclaro. Smiley
