My PNY Nvidia TI4400 card has died after only 2 years of use. I need a new video card but I don't have lots of money to invest. I'm looking in spending about $200.00. Any advise would be appreciated.

Nivdia GeForce 6800LE about £150 in the UK, more than a match for the vast majority of the cards listed in Gixer's chart, an excellent replacement for a ti4400 - a top end card in its day!
Personally, I'd wait for the Nvidia 6600 GT, due out before Christmas, better than the 6800 (the forth card from the top of the list) for supposedly less money !

The 6800LE is , however, out now......  Wink

Okay! I'm ready to invest in the best card, although I'm using now the 9800 pro 128 MB I want to get me the best!

Now I see the 6800 ultra is top of the list, but what about RAM is it a 128card or a 256card?

what exactly do I need in order  to max everything up?

(XP, P4, 1024 DDR RAM, 250 GIG HD)

It is 256MB, although 512MB are to be released soon.

Careful when buying the top of the chart Video card. Most often u will need a more powerful power supply and some require you have 12 volts available from the card to the power supply!!..300-350 Watts just dont hack it anymore for the top of the line cards..Best to go for 400-500 Watt Power..Check the cards out first before ya spend all your money on the card and then need a better power supply...huh?

Although a 350W-400W PSU from Antec or Enermax will be able to cope fine.

Yah I got me the 6800 ultra and now I need A new power supply, the problem is witch one?!

The card wants 2 separate cables that are connected to nothing else in the the system

So I need a power supply that will have 3 mains so 2 of them will go to the card and the third one should have enough power to handle all the others:

3 HARD DRIVES
SCSI 15k-rpm HARD DRIVE
DVD
CDRW
ZIP
FLOOPY
Number of cooling fans

Please devise me witch PSU will work the best, I will spend one's to have A GOOD SET UP…..

P4 3Ghz 2256 DDR RAM

Antec truepower 480w or higher. My 480w one runs my setup just fine.
