Hello,  I am new to the forum (not the site) and I was woundering if someone could tell me where to find the 3-D Virtual cockpit. I noticed that many of the aircraft require this panel.

???   Any help would be appreciated.  ???

The virtual cockpit information is programmed into the .mdl file.  Some aircraft have them and others don't.  The C172 has one and the Learjet doesn't.

If you get an aircraft that doesn't have one there is nothing you can do to add one except to get the source code from the designer and modify it.

If you get an aircraft that has one and you want to modify it all you can do is swap or move a few of the gauges around in the panel.cfg file - you can't change the background.

If you get an aircraft that has a VC and you decide to use a different panel that doesn't have a VC you should probably copy the VC information from the original panel into the second panel.  That way you will at least have a rudimentary VC.  You can then swap or move a few of the gauges around inthe VC section.

OK,
whell what does it mean when it says "this aircraft is intended to be flown with 3 D virtual cockpit" as if it were something I had to download.
And thank you for the previous comment.

It sounds like it's intended for FS9 aircraft.  FS9 has "clickable" VC's - you can actually operate levers and buttons from the VC.  In FS02 and below the VC's are just for looks.

3D cockpit is the same thing as virtual cockpit which is usually abbreviated VC.

actualy you can on some. If the VC has been textured the textures should be in the texture folder and from their you can find the textures and repaint.

Wilderrobb, no offence but there wasn't a real need to bring a topic back from the dead.

Neither is there a need to trounce on someone because they were wondering if something worked out, and how the individual solved it. Wink
