I just need a little explatition here. I work at an Air Cargo place Ameriflight mabye you have heard of it. Any ways parts are easy to come by gagues anyways and i could have my hands on a 1900 nose section. the parts i dont understand is getting them to work liek wiring a switch so that a computer can regonize it or how just to get the PFD on a moniter. I guess my questions are how do you hook everything up? its not liek its just plug and play lol Thanks for your help.

Nice, but this is out of a simmers hands. You need to go find an A&P mechanic to get some advice, not simmers.

N556EP,

I'd suggest spending some time surfing around all the older threads here.  You will likely find ALL the info you need to answer those questions and more.

Hooking them up depends on what "they" are.  Some are easy....some are more difficult.  Some wil take a bunch of money... some will be cheap.  For the easy stuff.... if you have aq switch all you need is an interface card.  That "interface" could be an old usb joystick you take apart...or something like the Hagstrom cards.

As to getting the PFD on a monitor by itself, look for "glass cockpit" and "FreeFD" threads here.  Also search "FreeFD" on Google.  Also search "Project Magenta" (payware).  All it takes is a network with the PC's hooked up on it, and a couople of payware interface programs called FSUIPC and WideFS.....and then the freeware FreeFD.

And welcome to the Homebuild Cockpits Forum.

best,

...................john

Yeah, I understand.
If they are mechanical guages, it is a virtualy inpossibe task.

If it is a digital you will need a computer engineer and a software engineer. The displays are very complex and need to have very exact amperage. You will need to write software to get it to communicate with the displays unless you can find a place to buy it from, like Frasca, if you even can.
