Knowing the reputation of CaptainSim for detail, I would not be surprised if their future release of the C-130 will have one with JATO ability, however it is payware, and undoubtedly probably going to be in the $30 to $40 range for the Herc, but the detail in the previews is  Shocked

laughable attempt of making a JATO impression compared to this one

Either way, both of those planes would be a blast to try and fly.

Ivan.....Nice picture and movie....must have been a little hot in that cockpit......I wasn´t aware of the attempts to make the C-130 V-TOL....Don´t think they´ll ever do that again.....

Hey guys, while we are on the subject of Hercy birds, I have recently come to admire them myself while working a subcontractor job at Olmstead/HIA Harrisburg, PA which is the home of the Pennsylvania Air National Guard 193rd Special Operations Squadron.  They operate Commando Solo versions mostly and run a maintenance and repair facility for C-130's of the PA ANG at large.  Needless to say, I only saw them from a distance as the Air Gaurd ramp at HIA is guarded heavily and unauthorized entry to the fligh line would result in many M-16's locked and loaded on the un-authorized entrant Shocked Sad .  Anyway, does anyone know where I can download a highly detailed c-130 panel and plane combo???

Hey.....Sure. There´s a really nice cockpit attached to this canadian C-130:

http://www.simviation.com/fs2004military28.htm

That´s the one i like best, it depends on to wich model you want it....this one i for some of the older models, but there is also some to the new J model:

http://www.simviation.com/fs2002panels14.htm

Just try and search for some...i might have the widest search options here, or maybe at Surclaro.com.....
Hope i helped a little...good luck...

Thanks a lot. I might just download that canadian 130 and then apply the panel to a USAF version.  Does anyone know if the C-130 requires a flight engineer?  I believe it does have an engineer panel. I know in the USAF and Air National Gaurd they still have navigators on C-130's which seems strange to me in the age of INS and GPS.  anyways, as large as that file is I'll take on good faith that the flight deck has all the interior views as well. I will do  search and see if anyone has modeled the Commando Solo varient which is distinguishable by the for large antenna bubbles on the rudder fin, two per side.  Thanks a lot.

Don´t really know....think the RDAF has a rew of four...pilot, second pilot, flight engineer and a loadmaster....maybe it´s five...not really sure....
The cockpit should have interior views......
