I just can't get the FS9 version of FSEdit to work. I installed it in the FS9 directory and have THE latest version but when I open an aircraft it crashes. Can anyone help me? I usually edit aircraft.cfg files with wordpad but I don't have time for that anymore Undecided. I need something faster and easier to use.

FSEdit . . .

Ewwwww . . . that's GROSS!!! Sad Undecided

For shame . . . Undecided Roll Eyes

Really, why do you use it?  I have never seen the point.  You can get so much more out of the config by just opening it in wordpad.

Just futzing with ya, mon . . . Wink

Thanks but, I already have an air file editor. I need something that edits the aircraft.cfg file. I just don't have time to mess around with wordpad anymore. FSEdit worked perfectly in 2002, I wonder what is causing the problem with the FS2004 version.

Um, most people use general ASCII editors. There are plenty shareware/freeware ones about.

Wordpad?
PFE (Programmers File Editor)?
