L1011blonde,

Please don't take this wrong but I don't understand. Did you mean that you were proving something to yourself or to others.

SaVas and Airborne also fly with all their sliders to the right maxxed out, except of course terrain detail which should be on land only and mip-mapping which should be on 4, as do Fly2e and myself.

And many others I would assume.

However that shot while a nice idea is really really pixilated with very little terrain detail which means some problems with machine- simulator- video set-up and configurations in general.

I don't see that in my shots or SaVas' or Fly2e's or Airborn's or Lemoncat's or many others.

And this is not because of screenshot compression.

Keep working at it.

I was just trying to prove to myself that maxxing all my FS2004 settings, without losing any performance, could actually be done. And before anyone protests,I had a devil of a time getting the pic down under 100k,because I had every setting turned up for that shot. Also,I had to reduce it to 800x600 for size reasons. I'm using GrabClipSave to take my shots,BTW.

But that's my point I also fly all sliders maxed and take screenshots in scenery and with planes far more intense than that and have no trouble whatsoever getting in below 100 and I still don't have that kind of pixelation.

That type of pixelation has nothing at all to do with compression.

If you want to prove something than do it over heavy scenery with AI traffic and heavy clouds with a PMDG 737 at say O'Hare.

That would be something!!!!!!!

Ramsa is right, and reading the specs of your machine you shouldn't be seeing that kind of pixelation of the shots.

Are your AA and AF settings for your graphics card turned on?
