Lago's Flight Simulator Enhancer was an uncompleted product released to the public. Today they announced that they have released an upgrade patch that will allow you to trade as well as use FS very own vehicle files in the program. Now you have all vehicles, buildings, ships, and planes available for placement any where in FS2004 of your choice!

Atleast that is what they promise Cry! I am at this very moment downloading the patch and I will check it out to see whats improved and what's new! So let see if Lago will save face with its FSEnhancer and see if this payware was really worth the wait!

Its only in your mind, strong mind, strong soul and nobody can take that from you!

I purchased FSSE and soundscape for FS 2002, and FSE and soundscape for FS 2004 when they were first released.
FSSE and Soundscape I have never had any problems with, indeed it is that program, and FS 2002 which I currently run.
FSE for FS 2004 was blessed with a multitude of problems which can be witnessed almost on a daily basis, on the LAGO Forum.

It looks as though I would have to download the latest version, 52 Mb! and then have problems with obtaining the key to go with it, according to the latest report on the Forum....!

FSE and it's Soundscape is residing in a very dark place on my hard disk, while I continue to have fun with FSSE and it's Soundscape, and FS 2002... 8)...!
...with no problems at all... Grin...!

Cheers all... Wink...56k Modem...!

In a related "problem" issue with a Lago product.....

I too has FSSE for fs2002 and absolutely LOVED IT.  Planned to buy it for fs2004....because I missed it.

THEN I bought Emma Field for fs 2004 befoer I got to buying FSSE.  And it has had problems with sound issues from day one.  To make it worse... the support from Lago on this subject has NOT been very good at all.  I am unimpressed.

I have gotten suggestions from them to "fix" it that seemed like someone just "guessing" what is wrong..... not info direct from the software developers.  I get told to do things that are not possible (put something in a Lago folder that they say SHOULD be there... that is not).  Then getting told how to fix that... and that fix not working.  And after a string of non-solutions, then getting told to completely erase my entire hard drive and reinstall EVERYTHIN from Windows XP up because it is a problem with MY installation not their software.

Of course, with a demonstrated history of "fixes" that did not work.  And I should re-do my whole system based on that suggestion.  Right.

The only thing that is not working in the sim or on my system at all is the sound issue when I go to Emma Field ..... which then persists even after to go to other scenarios in the simulator.  To get rid of the errant sound files continiously running I have to completely exit the simulator and reload it.  Otherwise I hear chirping birds, Fritz hammering, and other sound effects no matter WHERE I go...... in the middle of flight over KBOS, on the menu screens, and so on.

SO as far as a Lago product... I'd say Caveat Emptor.

best,

..................john

I agree with John. I bought FSE several months ago.

My issues are this:

Active camera and FSE do not seem to run well together. I cannot manipulate objects when I have active camera installed. Possibly user error though.

Secondly I get a bit of sound file woes periodically when flying around for a brief second I could be at FL360 and hear a brief chirp of a FSE sound file be it a bird, or wind, etc.

FSE is the one utility I have not reinstalled after I had the complete reconfigure done by FS-GS, and more than likely will not reinstall it.

Hi John, and anyone else who still enjoys flying with FS 2002, (like me!), LAGO's excellent Flight Sim Scenery Enhancer, (FSSE), is now available for the princely sum of £10...!
...and Soundscape for the user generated FSSE scenes works a treat... 8)

Highly recommended by Fozzer... Grin...!

Cheers all... 8)...!

Paul.

P.S. Most of my screen shots show examples of my LAGO, FSSE generated scenes..

Savas,

Aha... so I am not alone with the sound issue for the fs2004 version of Lago's products.  From the sound of your issue..... I assume that Emma Field utilizes the same gener al sound engine concept as the FSSE sound stuff does.  So I can use the new FSSE to screw up flying EVERYWHERE in my sim.... not just Emma Field  Tongue .

It is too bad.... because i REALLY enjoyed the FSSE for fs2002... which worked VERY well.  I loved that program.....Fozzer is dead on right.

But now between the sound problems ....and particularly Lago's terrible lack of help for me with the problem..... I do not trust spending any more money with them.  I am already ticked at spending about $30 USD for a Lago add-on that does not work correctly and then to have very poor support.

best,
