Has anyone in this forum had any experience with Flightgear?  The freeware flightsim platform that is under continual open source developement.

How does it fly?
How long to download everything I need?
How are the add-ons?
How does it look??

Things I've always wondered since I first read about it 2 years ago @ avsim.

How does it fly: does better FPS wise, but no auto-coordination and arkward joystick config
How long takes downloading: depends on connection speed, but it's about 200-300 MB i think
How are the add-ons... make them yourself from FS98 models
How does it look: last time i tried the mesh was OK, but night textures are nonexistant, same for airport scenery

Russian planes: IL-76 (all standard length ones),  Tu-154 and Il-62, Tu-134 and An-24RV&&&&AI flightplans and repaints can be found here
