I assume that thing at the top is an intake, so I am also assuming that this is a jet.  If so, why make the gear covered and fixed?  Most jets (if not all) have retractable gear for the simple fact that they are fast moving.

But I do like the overall design!  Reminds me of a cross between a P-38 and a 747 . . . Grin

I designed two full size jets in the 70s and 80s and they both have fixed gear, square fuselages and straight wings.
The first one was a taildragger too.

I have made FS versions of 'em both but I'm undecided whether to upload.

Thou assumest wrong... that's the pilot's cockpit.  It's a single engine (piston) pusher  ground attack prototype. Projectg cancelled in 1957

Ah!  I sees! Grin

Funny lookin thing . . . can't say as I ever would have thought about making that one.  I also am wondering just why it has a faux cockpit up front.  Really strange! Wink

#1 - For flying during inclement weather..

#2 - For the "weapons systems operator"

#3 - It's French, in one of those periods in time that brought out the best in design (Ouragan /Mystere /Mirage) and the not so good...

I would have thought that an open-cockpit, fixed gear attack plane would have been outmoded then, but ..
