What was the last band you saw live?

Myself, I saw Ministry and My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult a few nights ago.  Wicked show of course, Ministry's always a blast live.  My body's all bruised and sore, and I'm (finally) able to hear again - I was front and center against the barricade facing the direct onslaught of 6 Marshall cabs right in front, and Al right in my face.  In short - best show I've seen yet.

Next week it's KMFDM's turn!   Smiley

KISS/Aerosmith back well awhile ago Wink
Not many groups come to East Tennessee, they seem to be boycotting the outrageous entertainment tax here. If I want to see a decent show I have to travel a minimum 4 hours to Atlanta,Cincinnatti, Nashville etc.
It sucks because a majority of that tax is also becasue of UT in Knoxville having the only place large enough for a "big" name band to show, and the University demands 60% of all profitts (even band)!!!!!!
It doesn't help that the only thing this cesspool is known for is UT Vols Football! Undecided

VOLS SUCK!!!!! Grin

Gilberto Gil at Brest in July. Me and my friend tried to see another band playing there the next night, but it was 1am and a slow, drunken ramble there and they'd finished by the time we arrived. Grin Good night though.... 8)

Don't think so, ???  it was the real deal, on the "Pulse" tour in 1994 - Nothing since has motivated me go to any other concerts, but, as an avid Floyd nut, thats just fine by me!  Wink

It hasn't been the 'Real Deal' since Waters left the group.  Everything after that has been just capitalizing on past fame; especially that horrid 'The Division Bell' they released a few years back.  David Gilmour just doesn't have it...  Roll Eyes

Nothing wrong with Gilmour. He wrote some good stuff even with Waters in the band. And I think High Hopes is one of their best.

In true reality Pink Floyd was never the same when Barrett left. He was with the band for a 30th of thier life span and yet a fifth of songs in the Best of album were his. Say's something doesn't it. Roll Eyes

I thought it was a good thing that Water's left because althoug he had written some fantastic stuff he was becoming to sarcastic and biting, regard "The Final Cut" I hated that one Tongue sounded like a Water's solo album. Gilmour has done a fine job and Division bell is an Awesome album.

but the best period was with waters from "Meddle" till "The Wall." Barret was a legend but I wasn't into the Psychadelic stuff and Umma Gumma was just plain wierd.

Last band I saw live was mine a few days ago Smiley  The last "big" band I saw was Phish on Coney Island a few months back.  I didnt actually go to the show, but we sat on the beach just outside the arena and listened to it.  Before that was Type O Negative and Cradle of Filth last year in Cleveland.  I had VIP passes for Type O last weekend in NYC, but they postponed the fall tour Sad
