Imagine the noise these suckers create...
Nice view of the Boston skyline at dawn
Another angle, showing KBOS as we leave the airport behind
Who the heck ordered this right turn? No wonder TWA went bonkers 8)
Ooh, FS2004 pink sky and fluffy clouds, how cute
The 707 is an elegant aircraft, wouldn't you agree?
Now, some comments about this aircraft, made by Captain Sim. It has LOTS OF BUGS! I read one guy who found over 50 bugs, while I have found far less than 50, some stuf really bugs me, mostly the autopilot which VOR/LOC function is completely useless
I also have issues with the pitch command of the autopilot, but hopefully these errors will promptly be fixed by CS.
Ironicly, same thing happened with their heralded 727...full of bugs when it was first released, but after 4-5 fixes it is a great addon

2 and 5 are nice....
Funny how that angle in #1 makes the takeoff anlge look so much steeper than it is!
Great shots nexus,

your eyes are NOT fooling you
I had a 17 degree takeoff angle (I was aiming for 14...) but I over-rotated 'cause I missed my VR speed by 10 kts..(was not focused
) so a high pitch angle was necessary to compensate for the accelerating speed, but I later shallowed the climb, as evidenced on pic3, and 4
Great spotting by you 8)

Thanks... 8)
Still, I think it looks like a 40 degree rocket-style takeoff, which it clearly isn't.

It does look like 40 degree rocket takeoff.
Great pics though.

Great pics, Nexus! Man, what are your PC specs? You must have a pretty good graphics card.

I got a Radeon 9800XT, more than capable of holding its own against the newer cards from Ati and Nvidia..but the show must go on. I'm waiting for my X800 XT platinum to arrive, it may be here in some weeks if I'm lucky!
Pasted from Tom's hardware:
"Thanks to its performance advantage when using anisotropic filtering, the Radeon X800 XT Platinum Edition shows its rivals who's boss in this discipline without noticeably sacrificing image quality. Even the much less expensive X800 Pro with its 12 pipes can beat the GeForce 6800 Ultra in some game tests"
So expect even cirsper shots in the future I suppose
Thanks for watching fellas!

NEXUS!! I'm shocked to see such...well, abnormal flying by your standards. (COUGH steep pitch COUGH)
Trust me...your images show the visual quality of FS9 at it's absolute max. The newer cards will not bring better image quality...it's SPEED that you gain from them.

Haha, I was busy taking shots (pressing F10 with FRAPS) and suddenly the speed was well above 140kts, don't kow what my co-pilot was doing, he was as quiet as a nine year old girl at sunday school...
The 707 also reacts very slow to your controls, something I had a tough time adjusting to.
Regarding the image quality, what can be improved with ATi cards is the mipmapping, the 9800XT suffers from shimmering textures, which does not really show on stills, but it's very apparent on videocaptures and in-game of course. That has been reduced with the
X800XT.

Love the first shot. It definitely does give the impression the 707 is taking off like something from NASA
My life is like the movie Office Space
