I have the impression that CFS3 is running a little bit
smoother after i unzipped all the zip files from the
terrains folder , deleting the compressed files and
leaving the new folders. If you want to try that out make a backup of the terrains folder on another partition
first....

tomtomcat, CFS3 creates those binary zx files off the zips and gets the data from there, just like the plane's xdp and bdp.
I kinda doubt that unzipping them has any positive effect on performance.

Danke Mathias ,
Maybe it was just wishful thinking ...
but I thought , I didn´t experienced those dreadful
freezes anymore ,that I had now and then.
My CFS3 runs OK with an average 27 fps and a few stutters & 1/2sec freezes sometimes ( I tried every
possible tweak I could get my hand on) guess thats
all I can get out on my recent machine.

Gruß Tomtomcat
