Hi all Grin As all of you I-m also trying to get near and near the real thing so the next natural step is having a homebuild cockpit Wink

The thing is, I was never any good in this kind of manual works Roll Eyes, so I was allways a bit relutant in building one myself, also I haven-t the slightiest clue about how to get the switches to interact with the sim, but I-ll learn Grin

In the meantime I-d like to start and build a generic fighter cockpit, I'm thinking of this because I fly mostly fighters and diferent ones, so I haven't decided in any particular cockpit model!

I'd like to know if anyone has plans of a fighter cockpit with wich I can plan my own cockpit. If not, could anyone tell me where I can get a schematic of a fighter cockpit?

thks all Grin

cleobis,

Hi and welcome to the "Homebuild Cockpits Forum".

If you spend some time here looking thru past threads you will find all manner of information about stuff like how to connect switches and such in the sim.  Also specifically reads from chuckarc on his WWII fighter.  While not a contemporary jet... there are ideas there that should translate well.

This stuff is fussy work... and time consuming.... but not hard.  It can consume a bit of money.... but it doesn't necessarily have to have a "trust fund" behind it either  Wink .

As you get going... please document your efforts here in words and pictures so that we can all share in the process and learn from each other.

Home cockpit builders:.... the few...the proud... the demented  Wink .

best,

to tell you the truth I'd love to have a spit cockpit yes:D but I belong to a Virtual air force, and I fly a lot in modern jets, so I think the first one will have to be a modern fighter cockpit:)
