So begins a long and careful journey, from the graveyard to shining glory; history as she once was, resurrected again from top to bottom with tender loving care. Her maiden voyage, on tour around the United States. We first find the "Silver Lady" at Orcas Island, prepping up for a dusk air tour by a lucky few...

...

...

I entered the passenger cabin and the scent of new materials wafted through the air. A mixture of renewed paint, leather, and fine oak flooring. Cedar wood, and fresh linens tickled my nose and brought a wide grin upon my face.

...

And The Silver Lady is airborn in graceful stride, her lucky passengers young and old reliving history, and headed to the infamous weekend barbecue cooked by Fritz at the one and only Emma Field, her destination for the weekend, but in the meantime Jenny and Rich were serving the guests a light snack of beluga caviar on imported crackers, Prosciutto wrapped melon balls, rare and wonderful cheeses, and fresh caught local seafood samples cooked at Mondrian's, with an assortment of fine cognac, red and white wines from the 1940's, and for the non drinkers, fresh squeezed local fruit juices or soda.

...

Manning the controls was yours truely, also enjoying history in the making. She was flying good as new!

...

This concludes part 1.

Part 2 to follow shortly. I do hope you enjoyed because this is an old lady thats a dream to fly.
