Hello been awhile since I stopped in here Smiley

I am taking a large undertaking at my local Museum.
Currently I'm in the process of scheduling a lecture with Major Fredric Arnold, a P38 pilot that flew 50+ missions during WWII in Africa, captured by the Germans, escaped to fly some more, I could go on about his achivements but not enough room. you can read more about this fascinating man here:  doorknob52.com

Anyway I had a idea for our museum to start and have "Guest Speakers" as a  regular event, to help support the museum, and give the community something to be involved in. My plan is to have a guest speaker every month, so 12 in total. I'm looking for speakers of any kind (avaition related).
Mr Arnold will be my first guest, and he is looking forward too it, I'm hoping for a event that pleases all and if this goes over well then the plan for a "speaker a month" will start rolling.
So now I'm here to ask if any of you know of anyone that might be a good guest to invite? Preferably in the US, there is a good chance that a majority of expenses will be paid for myself, in hopes that eventually will turn into something some "sponsors" might get involved in.

I feel it is time that I try to do something for my community (can't rely on the Government they have other agendas).
My main goal is too educate and entertain. Which means special attention is going to go towards involving schools.

What brought all this on and my sudden understanding that something needs to be done goes back to when I was in Middlesboro, KY for Glacier Girls airshow I was speaking to a young man (15) and his entire understanding was WWII lasted about 6 months and was fought in Hawaii and Germany! That is it, he was amazed when I started to tell him about battles in Africa, China, Britian, etc. It was that moment I KNEW there must be something I can do, and it was then I personally contacted Mr. Arnold and ask him to come and speak.

So 1 down, 11 to go! If anyone knows of someone I can contact that you think might be of interest, or someone you have heard lecture before please let me know!!
I appreciate it greatly!!!!

I heard of this mad Hungarian,..... I think his name is Mark or something. Anyway, he flies inverted all the time and reeks havoc in the villages and cities he visits! Maybe he could do a fly bye!  Grin
