Can anybody help re: approach lighting, when selecting VASIS or LITAS etc. I understand what 'slope' means but what do the figures relate to for 'distance' 'offset' and 'spacing' any help appreciated.

Hi Mark,

This should do the trick:

DISTANCE is how far from the centre of the runway (towards the end) the VASI, PAPI or whatever you use, is.

OFFSET is how far across from the centre-line the lights are.

SPACING doesn't seem to do anything.

Hope this helps.

Cheers mate,

Carl out.....
