I've seen this stand at several air displays I've attended this year.

This is the same team responsible for the Vickers Vimy replica so I have no doubt they're serious.* Apparently 4 Bristol Jupiter engines have been located for the project. Wouldn't it be great to see & hear one of these majestic airliners in the air again.

It would be a novelty Doug, there is a small article in the Sept. issue of Aeroplane about it. The cabin photo looks like something out of the Queens railway carriage
There are two types of aeroplane, Spitfires and everything else that wishes it was a Spitfire!

While in Imperial Airways service, none was lost. (But those winter gales of '40-41 were murder on them - and one was lost in transit from Bombay to Arabia...)

If it's the same photo as featured on their website it IS a railway carriage. A Pullman to be exact.

Notice the propellers in the photo - the four bladed props are actually two two bladed props mounted perpendicular to each other!

So they are.
I seem to recall another aircraft (or maybe more than one) using the same idea. My memory is not what it used to be. ???

Looks like a very interesting project, although it would be interesting to see the end result, and what they do with it...
