Almost every town or village you pass through in the Normandy beachhead and surrounding area of France has a museum or collection of some kind devoted to the events of 1944. Here is a small selection of armour at the Musee Du Debarqument at Arromanches, the Musee D Day Omaha in Vierville-Sur-Mer and at the Musee Aout 1944 in the town of Falaise.
...
A Sherman tank on the hillside above Arromanches.
...
A piece of field artillery.
...
The good old Jeep inside the Musee Du Debarqument.
...
Also at Arromanches is this US Halftrack.
...
Another allied artillery piece.
...
A rather battered looking LCVP outside the Musee D Day Omaha.
...
Panzer MkIV in the museum at Falaise.
...
Another example of allied armour at Falaise.
...
The deadly German 88mm flack gun.

Nice shots Tempest. It looks like a very interesting place. I really must pay a visit sometime.

How much do they want for the Panzer? Just the way the locals here are driving I'm looking for something a little more rugged and secure Grin

There are two types of aeroplane, Spitfires and everything else that wishes it was a Spitfire!
