Hi all,I am sadly going to have to wipe and re-format my hard drive. I have already bought Flight1's Ultimate Traffic for FS2004. My question is,do I have to re-buy the product (@$30) or can I re-install UT without another $30 down the drain?? Any help or advice would be most useful.

Thanks,L1011blonde

Not if you have the original program on a CD.  Just reinstall it.  If you purchased a download copy, then hopefully you made a copy to a CD for just this eventuality.

If you purchased a download version and did not make a CD copy, then you will have to see what their "re-download" policy is.  Some companies have an expiration date after which you can't log back on and re-download.

Simple answer available,...... talk directly to them.  They will know more than ANYONE here about what THEIR policies are Wink .

Thanks,I really needed a little virtual "hand-holding"..i.e., I 'm nervous!!! I do have my downloaded copy and licence key backed up on a cd-r. Also my proof-of-purchase.
So,if all goes well tomorrow when I format my HD,I'll jump back on Simviation and let you know.
P.S.,do I have to re-register here,or will my old username& password still work??

Your old user name and password here are safe on the SimV server.  However if you tend to let the cookie type login happen... and haven't been typicn in your username and password... you should go to your account and WRITE DOWN the username and password..... because when you reformat... the cookies go "bye bye" on your hard drive  Wink.

If you can't remember your password right now.... when you go to your account now.... just change your password to a new one.... and write THAT one down.

Good luck.

Thanks again,JBaymore.I didn't want to go through the hassle of picking out a new username & password just to get back into your virtual skies. Also,I don't mean to rant, but I've just gotta get this out of my system.WHY WHY WHY did Microsoft have to force us to buy FS2004 on 4 cds? 1 DVD would do the job just fine, therefore I'm dreading re-installing FS2004 after I get my pc up and running. (Ya know the drill, troops: CD 1 in,0-100% done,CD 2 in,etc, yada, yada!!)!
AAAAAAAAAGH!!!! (sorry,I'd rather get my teeth pulled sans novacaine).....
Wish me luck,L1011blonde

FINALLY, IT WORKS!!!!!
(Sorry,I got a little excited there...) After a long and frustrating verbal battle with Flight1's customer support department, they gave in and sent me a replacement key. I'm baaaaaaack!!!! (Dang,I never knew so many planes could fit in the sky!!). It even makes my new 128MB Radeon 9800 Pro
work a little. I have to turn the AI down to 88% or so to smooth things out.
DUCK,there's a  crazy Delta 757-AAAGH!!!
