Sounds pretty good, only thing that I would consider getting shortly would be another 512MB of RAM, and that's only if you want to be able to run the sim with full settings and no drop in perormance...
If you're happy with it the way it is, leave it be...

Don't think so - I think it means it can read and write to the memory twice concurrently, speeding things up.
If you can find a program to monitor your memory usage that would be good - if while playing FS you find you reach the limit alot you could think about popping in an extra 512mb.
Great system though!

Yeah just go up to 1gig of ram. I monitor my ram usage and can use up to 800meg at anyone time depending how many things I have open. With just FS2004 open it seems to use about 550-600meg.
Using your ram in Dual channel mode will give you about a 5% increase in performance, it doesn't double the amount of ram you have.
when you get your next 512 of ram you best hope you have four ram slots! that way you can keep everything in dual band mode. if you only have 3slots then you will have to add one more stick of 512ddr and not use the dual band mode.

Just thought I would add, I HATE wireless mouses lol. The batteries always go dead right in the middle of a massive fire fight when I am playing online.

Save your money. 1gig is plenty for gaming and general use. Only get 2gig if your gonna be doin masses of video editing or massive 3d work.
I catn get my rig to use more than 800-850meg of ram at the moment.

I smashed my logitech cordless mouse when it let me down in an on-line tournament, at just the wrong time! - Wire's = good connections ......
Otherwise, go for 1GB, and sit back & enjoy the ride!
Posting drivel here since Jan 31st, 2002. - That long!

Yes my logitech freedom wireless joystick never letts me down. I can go soooo far away from my computer with it. It says u can go as far away from the base as u can with a coordless phone. I whent down to my basement bout 25 feet from my comp then once i got down there i walked to the end bout 40 feet down there in my studio with the door shut and I told my sister to tell me if i still got connection and I did. This thing is amazing

I totally agree. Just in case you wanted to hear it from another person.
What do computers and air conditioners have in common?
They both will work perfectly, until you open windows.

8) Personally, I would get rid of it and get a new one.
I could take the old one if you like to get it out of your way!!!
Tony
PS.... Sounds a REALLY good set up to me!
