Just thought I'd like to reveal another handy program I found: GIANT Anti-Spyware,which I found at www.download.com .  It has found spyware that Ad-Aware and Spybot Search & Destroy(which I also have) didn't even see. It's a sanity-saver!!! p.s it says 15 days only, but that's 15 days of updates, not 15 days and then not working.

Isn't that the one that has gotten called out for installing the adware when the program installs? Just to make it look like it is getting things that the other programs aren't?
Sadly there are many programs that do just that, install what they are meant to remove, a bad "advertising" trick to make it appear that your other program isn't doing its job.

Don't quote me because I'm uncertain if this is the correct program I read about, but I'm now leary when you can run two or three seperate programs and then install another and have it find something the others supposidly missed.

Just because you've never heard of a program isn't enough to instantly make it bad.Try something new!! For example,I'm
using Ontrack's SystemSuite 5,which many people pass up
in favor of a "well-trusted name brand" (not!!)...Nortons SystemWorks,just because they see "Nortons..name brand=good."

I've just checked it out here, and I found nothing listed, and plenty of positive reviews when I Googled the above.....

I wasn't instantly making it bad! I asked a question. There have been some that do exactly what i stated and the name was familiar so I ASKED ABOUT IT!!!
Pull the undies off your head and stop reading posts through the trap door!

I do, all the time, I'm a download junkie and try everything I can find, even if it is something that I won't really use.

Only for the foolhardy, Norton is the biggest piece of crap I have ever seen, and you don't pay for it once, you buy it yearly.

Thank you 4_Series_Scania, you obviously read the post with your undies where they are suppose to be Grin

P.S. a little tip..to foil the "this program has expired. You must now upgrade or pay" message, you can right-click on your clock in the lower right-hand corner of your taskbar. after you right-click,scroll up to "Adjust Date/Time",and set your date back to before your updates expired. (e.g., if today's date is Oct.11,set your date to Sept.10. This will enable you to keep updating. Do this every time it expires. This is a little workaround that I stumbled on while trying to deal with their nagging.( afterwards,re-set your clock to the correct date.)

If it works off the clock there is probably a *.ini file somewhere you can edit to get over the time thing I think.
