.... or words to that effect. Whatever made me take up this hobby? It can be so frustrating at times. ???
I must be a masochist. Perfect conditions & a wonderful show but some aircraft seem determined to elude me. Either I mess it up or some stoopid idiot decides to get in the way just as I press the button.
I dug these out from the Recycle Bin. If I pretend they're supposed to be like this maybe they're not so bad after all.
After seeing it displayed at 3 Old Warden shows this year I have yet to get a decent shot of the Avro 504.
Same goes for the SE.5a.
Ah, here's the Avro 19 (aka the civil Anson). First time I've seen this one fly.* Darn it - missed again. Sometimes I think I'll never get the hang of this lark.
Not to worry, I'll catch it when it lands. Oops...! Who put that bloomin' great mast in the way?
Now this is a very rare sight. Don't mess it up for goodness sake. Blast it......!
Almost (but not quite) the best shot I've taken this year.
Don't mention the Spitfire. Never did get a decent shot of that.
Maybe I was trying too hard. Never mind, better luck next season, I hope. Practice makes perfect they tell me. Well, nobody said it was going to be easy did they? No fun in that is there.
*PS. I've actually seen that Anson lots of times. This machine used to belong to Meridian Airmaps at Shoreham when I worked for the flying club next door back in the '60s. It was flown by the late Jackie Moggridge.
