I am currently looking at upgrading my sidewinder pro which i have been really happy with to a better joystick as well as using pedals for more realism. i was thinking of CH pro pedals but am unsure about joysticks although i have been looking at the CH Fighterstick. does anyone have any suggestions or a comment i would be very interested in your ideas.

As far as the CH Joystick I can't comment. But the pedals and the yoke are pretty nice for the price. I'm currently thinking of buying them. I have used them many times and they add a bit of realism to the sim, I just wish that they would introduce a yoke with force feedback.

I use a Saitek X-45 Joystick with a separate throttle body. Very customizable, and easy to use.

Only issue I have had with it, is occasionally I have to recalibrate it, which only takes about 60 seconds, then Im back in the sim.

I have the CH usb yoke and pedals...... they are great.  If you typically fly GA or "heavys"...... (other than some Airbus) it adds a lot of realism.

The pedals in particular are VERY solidly built.  Unfortunately..... they LOOK like a computer peripheral... not a set of pedals out of a commercial aircraft  Wink.

I understand that Goflight is going to debut a set of pedals at the next FS conference.  They say thaqt they will look like and be spaced like the pedals in a heavy jet.

And I too would REALLY like it if CH would come out with the FF yoke too.  If you agree...... go to their main website and let them know in their forum devoted to new product ideas.

I have a Logitech Wingman Extreme 3-d FF joystick too.  Don't often use it anymore since I got the yoke.

best,

..................john

I also use the CH yoke and pedals but I recently bought the Saitek X45 to fly the older war birds.

I like both setups as the CH rudder pedals work fine with the Saitek stick.

The trouble here in Australia there is only one place to buy them and that is pcaviator and the rudder and yoke are $504.00 and the joystick about $250.00. I have tried to convince the accountant (Wife) with no luck.

I sugest the defender twist joystick. It is a joystick and rudder pedals combined. You can buy it for about 12 quid on http://www.specialreserve.com Grin

Throttle= ALL USB Connections.  $308.95     They will ship WORLD WIDE.

I am assuming that price you found is in US Dollars?  Now you have to convert that to Austrailian Dollars.  I think with the exchange rate... that might be most of the issue.  Than there is the shipping from the orign (USA?) to Austrailia... also figured in Austrailian Dollars.  Then there is any import duties on the product.

International commerce is complicated due to the valuation of currency.  I sell some of my artwork internationally..... and in some places it is quite a viable approach.  But in others it is not at all.  For example, a piece of my pottery that would sell for $100 US Dollars here........ if I tried to sell it in South Africa.... it would appear to a South African to be selling for the equivalent of $1,000.00.  So South Africa is NOT a viable market for me.

best,

.................john
