Sunday, I drove up to the Rhinebeck Aerodrome.
It`s a "living museume" of early aircraft in
Rhinebeck, NY.
Check out their site:
http://www.oldrhinebeck.org/

It was a beautiful day for flying and a great drive up the NY state Thruway.

Every  September, a local RC aircraft club has their anual WWI meet there and this was the weekend for it.
So, today it was RC model aircraft and Full size vintage aircraft filling the sky. Grin

These are just  a few of the pics I took  breaking in my new (cheap) digital camera.

Wonderful Joe, simply wonderful. Grin

I've been hoping someone over the Pond would visit Old Rhinebeck & post some shots. This is the US equivalent of Old Warden. Magic, pure magic for any true aviation enthusiast. Please post some more. Wink

PS. It was unfortunately too windy to risk flying the vintage types on the day I visited. We still had an amazing day out. I hope to return one day, with my camera. I still have the raincheck ticket somewhere. Wink

Thanks everyone. Smiley

The new camera is a Canon A-75 and yesterday was the first time I actually used it other than some preliminary experimentations.

All pics were taken using the lowest resolution  available. This is my very first digital camera and I have much to learn about it.
It shure is different than my old, trusty Monolta 101 SLR!

All the shots I took at the aerodrome were in "auto Mode' and I`m impressed with the exposures and focusing under various conditions.

However, "shutter lag" did take some time to get used to and many in flight shots did not come out properly.

I'll post a few more pics later on tonight.
