OK, I just downloaded and installed it, and TrafficRouteCreator and it's fix, and the freakin' thing doesn't make ANY sense at all... where do you put in your destination airport?  Only says arrival... and then when I save it and try to load it in TTools, says you have to have at least two legs, but how the heck do you add another leg?  I've read through the readme, and it's usless except to tell you what everything means, but doesn't show you how to do anything...

Argh, all I wanna do is do some stinkin' formation flying.  Cry

Oh, and BTW, how do I add my downloaded aircraft to the AI list?

TTools works just fine, although I've never heard of this other item you mention.

All flights have to have two legs, so if your flight goes between A and B, one leg must go A-B and the other B-A.

The help file included in TTools explains everything and even gives examples.  I have an airport that I created where there are no default planes landing there, it's entirely planes I built to go together.

Adding more aircraft is covered too.

As we used to say in the old days of the Internet...RTFM - Read The Full Manual.

Your version of TTools must have features missing in my v.202 as mine doesn't have a Traffic Route Creator

Addon Planes is covered in the TT manual:

"23. Guidelines for adding aircraft
A large number of add-on aircraft have problems when used as AI aircraft. The main problems are: missing landing gear, crash landings, and bad frame rates. All of these problems can be avoided by using add-on aircraft that are specifically designed for AI use. The Project AI group (PAI) have a very large array of aircraft, all designed to be used as AI problem-free. I highly recommend that you use this source of freeware add-ons whenever possible.

If you decide to use add-on aircraft that were not designed specifically for AI use, then you better read the remainder of this section, and be prepared for some trail-and-error.

You should try just one or two new aircraft to start with and see how that works out before you start adding dozens. You will probably want to watch your add-on aircraft take off and land to make sure they have no problems.

etc., etc..

"I've read through the readme, and it's usless except to tell you what everything means, but doesn't show you how to do anything... "

I submit Lee's TTools' REadMe file is one of the best manuals (as is his  AF2 Manual) ever written for a FS addon.

I have both manuals on my desktop and have no problem figuring how to use all the features in both programs; having the Readme files on the desktop also makes it easy to answers questions such as yours.

This site has an awesome FAQ for learning flightplans and such.

What version of MS are you running Boss? 2002 is different from 2004 in AFCAD so you need different versions.

I use the Yroute program to create my flight plans. You can find the link in the sticky above.

What I do is create a whole new traffic.bgl.

make 3 new text files
Military_airports.txt
Military_airplanes.txt
Military_flightplans.txt

Add all your airports, airplanes and flights to each txt file needed. Direct Ttools to the 3 new files and decompile. This will give you a new military_traffic.bgl

If there is an airshow with in 2 states of me I'm there&&...&&&&

The program I was having most of the problems with was "Traffic Route Creator" which I thought would be easier (it said it was supposed to compliment TToos and make it a bit easier)

And yes, I admit I only briefly went over the help for TTools, spending more time on TRC as I thought that'd be easier. lol

And thanks so much for helping out a (then) very tired and (very) cranky flight simmer.  Tongue

(See, I knew it'd be one of those 3% rule things... ya know, where you have to be at least 3% smarter than what you're working with)
