Hey carrying on from my last post saying MAJOR HELP REQUIRED, i have since then formatted again re-installed drivers UPDATED drivers and all the usual now its playing up again, blue screening a fatal exception and then when i try to restart the game 'illegal operation'.

Anyhows this time i noted down the fatal exception code to see if anybody knows where it relates to, registrys etc.

Fatal Exception in 06 at 0028:C0006717 in VXD VMM (01) + 00005717

I know people are being really helpful, thanks, but still no fix. Cry

I don't know if this will help but have you got the new directX 9.0c, its at microsoft.com, hope that helps,

ah, thank you for everybody who has chipped in helping me fix this major problem in this the updated thread and the original thread, but finally i have fixed it.

I ran registry mechanic and it found 3 errors to which it has fixed and seems to have cured my fs problem.

Considering i formatted 3/4 times and it didnt pick up any bad sectors during it.

Anyways again thank you.
