Help PLEASE!!!

I have just got my new computer up and running fs9 and 2k2 installed. 2k2 runs well but fs9 picture is very poor, jagged edges to the runway buildings and aircraft. What settings should I use/ could you recomend. Thanks in advance Chris.

System:

P4  3.0Ghz   Htt
Asus P4C800 Delux m/board
512Mb PC3200 ram
ATI 9200se 128Mb Grafix
Sound blaster Audigy Sound
Windows XP Professional
19" IBM monitor  running @ 1024x768 75Hz

You need to turn on Anti-Aliasing.  Dont do this from within the game though do it through your display control panel.

The card you have may not be able to handle Anti-Aliasing very well though try 2x first and see how much it hurts your FPS.

Thanks Gixer Iam at 4x I think but there are still jagged edges to the planes, they look very poor compaired to most  I've seen in the screen shots section. That computer isn't connected to the net so I can't post a demo. Regards Chris

Hmm you shouldnt have too many then.  Double check it is 4X anti-alias you have set as you may be mistaking for anistropic filtering.

Try upping the res to 1280x1024.  One thing I do notice is if I am a long way (Zoomed out) from the plane I notice a few jaggies, only small though.  Once I zoom normal everything is smooth.

Not sure how the FX5200 handles Anti-Alias but this is how 4x Anti-Alias looks on mine

Hi Gixer, oh boy! Anti- aliasing 4x Anisotropic filtering 8x. just tried it on 1280x1024 it works and looks good, many many thanks. Regards Chris
