the newer series of enterprise are certainly nothing special, the next series goes back to the old format thankfully, and hopefully instead of re-writing history they can actually create some, pleanty of things to go into Roll Eyes

Looks like Enterprise is going to start on October 8th. It's been kicked onto a Friday timeslot and there are better shows on during its time.

I think Voyager was the best series because it went back to the ideas of the Original Series without all the corn ball Sixties themes. TNG was a bit too scientific to be really entertaining. It appeals more to science nerds then the casual viewer. I never really watched DS9.

I only pretend to know what I'm talking about. Heck, that's what lawyers, car mechanics, and IT professionals do everyday. I watched "The Wrath of Khan" (again) today.

The Movies with TOS crew (the ones made in the early to mid '80's were definitely the 'inspiration' for TNG. You can see how they completely dropped the 'cornball/kitchy' for something of real quality and substance. Yes, I believe that TNG, although by far the better series (over TOS at least), owes it's very existence (and style) to the TOS movies and especially their popularity.

So, even tho' the series was 'corny' (to borrow an American expression). It was, indeed (as Spock would say), the 'Father' of them all.  Grin Wink
