I use Nero 6. Good program, easy to use. Does CDs and DVDs and recognizes most burners. Stay away from Roxio. It's notoriously unstable.

I only pretend to know what I'm talking about. Heck, that's what lawyers, car mechanics, and IT professionals do everyday. I use Nero, the only problem is you can't overburn with v6, there is a problem.
Another good option is Alcohol120.

If you're really using Alcohol 120%,your trail period would just last for about two number of uses. After that, the program refuses to start and the OS drifts into the Nirvana.

Nudge,nudge....Grin

There is a program I use called deepburner, if I remember correctly someone referred me to this program when I had problems with other programs including nero, I don't remember exactly where I found this free program, but I'm sure a google search would reveal a suitable location to download it from.

I love alcohol120 & dvdxplatinum. I use Nero 6.3, but there are issues with nero & service pack 2. So I have 2 hard drives. One is for gaming, the other (Service pack 1 installed) is for burning. I just go into BIOS to select either HDD0 or HDD1 to boot up with. I disable FDD to make booting quicker!
