Now these, some of them I could not believe I was lucky enough to capture. What a pain it was not really being able to see anything through the camera, and going on photographer's instinct of CNP -"Click Now and Pray"

The 2004 Blue Angels are:

Commander Russ Bartlett
Lieutenant Commander David Varner
Major Len Anderson
Lieutenant Craig Olson
Major Chandler Seagraves
Captain Eric Himler
Major Ken Asbridge
Lieutenant Gary Mullen
Lieutenant Derek Hotchkiss

Great shots!

Quick question, on that third picture, aren't the diamond pilots out on the runway in their "fingertip" formation?  Why are the crew guys out there?  I've never seen that before.

And another cool thing about that shot... you can see the elevons all deflected nose down.  The pilots all fly with full nose-down trim so that they never have any "neutral" position on the stick, as it allows them to be more precise in their formations.

And I like the one of the Diamond Aileron Roll... man, they were right on, all 4 aircraft are in the exact same relative position in the roll!  Wohoo, awesome!

Again, great shots!  Thanks for sharing!

Not sure what the crew guys were doing. They ran out to Lead plane 1, were out there for a couple minutes, hopped back in their truck and the jets took off soon after.

Glad you liked the shots Smiley

Thanks Smiley

By the way if anyone wants any of my pictures as a background on their PC send me a message with your email and I will send it to you.

Keep in mind I had them taken mainly with max zoom and 2.1 mega pixels so in full size they are just a hair grainy.

I think its time for me to invest in a really good camera Smiley
