You want some good new rock bands? (I suggest even more experienced rockers check these out as well
) then go for Silvertide, The Quill and Hurricane Party 8)
Never heard of them, let me guess "Nicklebackers"?
I'll check them out and let you know what I think, as if that means anything
Ok that was quick, listened to some samples from all three and all of them sound pretty good, so I'll be checking out the albums, looks like some good picks, more of a 80's hard rock feel, sort of Deep Purpleish, Jackyl type rock and roll!! Me like that!!!

Well I bought Silvertide and The Quill and passed on Hurricane Party (can't justify paying full price for a EP of 5 songs)
The Quill is pretty good! Sort of remind me of Sound Garden.
Silvertide I only listened to a couple songs I don't have a CD player in the house and because of that copy crap they install on CDs now can't get it to play on the computer with out letting "unknown software" install on my machine via the internet.
I wonder if any bands new ones especially realize how adding this copy protection crap to thier disk cut down on sales? I understand the reasoning but I'm sure in the hell ain't going to go through the hassle just to hear thier music!! If they really want people to listen to the music make it simple and allow them to put the disc in and listen without all the crap of EULA's and unverifiable software installs!!!!! Too bad the only time I might hear it is in the car and I don't spend much time there.

Sorry, but I prefer soundgarden, classic old rock (but not the pink floyd, led zep type, the 80's type). Although quill are good, I dont think they stand up to the heritage and following soundgarden have/had.

I think Hurricane Party are the best of the bunch. I saw them at Reading.
If you look you can find many good rock bands from today. I recommend getting Classic Rock Magazine
Oh yeah my favourite Quill song is American Powder I think they got a good kinda Iron Maiden type vibe going on there.

They've already been together for quite some years. At least five or so. They simply were totally unknown in Europe.
