Well after a few days of waiting and pondering if it was worth parting with so much money, my brand new digital rebel has arrived. All i can say is, any doubts i had have gone and i am amazed just how good this camera is. Here are a few test shots from the garden, i am still waiting on my 75-300mm lense with super macro, but that will be here tomorrow.
First testing its up close abilities:)
...
depth of field needs some practice Roll Eyes
...
some nice colours
...
perhaps they should be watered a little more:)
...
The only work that i have done with these is resizing. I have not sharpened or messed with curves or brightness at all, something i have had to do to get this sort of pic from my 2800. Cant wait till yeovil this is going to be sooo much fun

i almost missed this thread...congrats with your camera! this makes two of us! i guess you used the kitlens in these photos? they look very good! like you said, very sharp. when i got this body, the first thing i did was also taking photos of flowers and bees...so i know exact what you experience right now.

about your lens, did you went for the Sigma? i can't wait to see some results of that one.  Wink
