Is there are more realistic ATC add-on one can get?  I'm particularly interested in an ATC that enforces speed or can atleast do better seperation of planes on final.

No, but to put it simply a chinsey addon like that should be freeware. I wish I had the time to learn the various programming aspects of it so I could make something like it (or batter) and make it free.
