Well, its that time of year again!  Once again, my home town of Eugene, Oregon has its little air fair and flies in a few planes to show the local people (occassionaly they have a real air show, but not this year).  Anyway, my little brother and I decided to head down there yesterday and check it out-and I brought my digital camara along, so-here are some highlights.

First, here I am standing next to an F-86 Sabre Jet.  It was a nice looking plane which is owned by the local tiny air museum.
...

Here is a nice shot of a polished metal AT-6 Texan.  I thought it looked really good with no paint, I had never seen one in person like that before.
...

Here is a nice Stearman (at least I think its a Stearman) but I don't know exactly what it is, maybe someone can enlighten me.   Wink
...

Here are a couple F-16s and an F-15 from the Oregon National Guard, they were probably the most popular planes there.
...

Here is an interesting aircraft.  This is an old Soviet Mig 15 which is owned by the local air museum.  They used to tour it around flying at different air shows until if crashed and caught fire several years back.  The engine and everything in the back was removed and it was made into a static display outside (never repaired).  Kind of sad really, I always liked Mig 15s.
...

Finally, here is one last photo.  This is the tail section of the Mig 15-you can see all the damage in the tail from the fire.
...

Anyway, there wasn't much there but we had fun and killed a couple hours.  I hope you liked my photos.   Wink

Lovely stuff Richie.
The Stearman is indeed a Stearman, and I agree the T-6 looks fabulous in bare metal, I'm just glad its not me who has to polish it Grin
As for the Mig, I've only seen one in a sadder state, but its a tragedy to let a piece of history rot like that Sad

There are two types of aeroplane, Spitfires and everything else that wishes it was a Spitfire!

Very nice Richie. Wink

Shame about that MiG. I've seen much worse than that restored to airworthy condition.
