Just in case you think it was all WWII stuff........

This chap opened the show. Amazing precision glider aerobatics.
...
...

Denny Dobson in his Extra 300.
...
...

The Sea Vixen. Big & fast. This is the best I could get on a slow dirty run.
...

The Blue Eagles Lynx doing his party trick.
...

Half the Utterly Butterly wing walking team. Great fun. Wink
...

A fantastic weekend's entertainment for all the family. All profits from the show go to charity. Another great show thanks to the lads & lasses of RAFA who work so hard for our enjoyment. Grin

Great shots Doug, I especially like the glider and the wing walkers (always fancied having a go at that)!

i remember those Utterly Butterly... from RIAT2003. it was a strange sight to see some big fat jets right after them. but that glider i've never seen. do you know what type it was?

i'm preparing myself for my first loopings in a glider...hope i don't have to throw up.  Wink

The wing-walking display team has been around for several years now. It was originally the Crunchie team. (Crunchie is the name of a Cadbury's chocolate bar.)

It's called a Fox. The pilot is Guy Westgate, last years glider aerobatics champion. http://www.aerobatics.org.uk/photos/displayimage.php?album=7&pos=23
That's all I can find out about it. I don't even know where it's built.

Good luck with the aerobatics. I'll bet it's a lot different in these modern high-performance machines to when I did a couple of loops in a T.21 Sedbergh. That was quite an experience. I envy you. Smiley
