Big mistake getting that card unless your not paying for it.

The FX5900XT will outperform it for less money I'll bet.

No 5700 will keep up with any 5900 in performance.

Don't have a choice, best I could find in SA.

I just asked what the performance was like, I was going to get the FX5900XT all along, it's just that they weren't available when I could finally get it.

What's wrong with the card?

It will run FS just not to its full potential.  Yes its not as good as the 5900 but if its all you can get well what else could you do.  I think it was the first of the FX5000 range that started to perform ok though.  The FX5600 was a dog but I think by the 5700 things were looking better.  Your just gonna have to play with your settings to get a happy medium.  I'm sure you will enjoy it!

Outta interest what card do you currently have?

Thanks for the answer. Smiley

At the moment..............  I have a wonderful cards which I've had since the end of 2002..........  Geforce 64MB 4 MX420........  And it really hasn't performed well...  But I guess the main reason for that is because I have a crap Celeron 766MHz processor!

But I will have a 3GHz P4 processor with 1Gig of Ram along with the graphics card for the new setup.  So all... should run pretty well, considering the processor especially.

My FX5600 ultra performs really well, I don't think it is a dog. I admit it is not the best, I have just installed 66.31 drivers and it works a treat. drivers are the key, but the 5700 has not impressed any gamers at all.
