You could possibly head up the coast towards Folkstone (see the Capel-le-Ferne BoB memorial and Channel tunnel entrance), Dover and the Castle and port and then head up the coast towards Manston and Ramsgate, which is quite a sceneic coastline...

Hi all
Well all Ican say is a BIG wow. I now have three hours under my belt, this last hour was by far the best!! I can recomend Channel Aviation at Lydd. We took off from runway 22 and headed in land climbing to 2000ft where I was told to throttle back to idle and maintain altitude, this was my first stall, it wasn't like I expected but quite smooth with just a little buffeting. I then applied throttle and flew over to Ashford and took a picture of the mother inlaws house. We then heaaded out to the coast, my instructor told me to close my eyes and keep the plane on the same alt/heading. this was a real eye opener!! I thought I was doing ok 'till I open my eyes. We were in shallow spiral dive to the right. I then did some throttle exercises flying out to Dover around the castle, joining the circuit and landing, it must have been a good landing 'cause they can use the plane again!!
