I have several models that I would like to see in fs9.  But I lack the ability to program the necessary files for fs9 to run them.  I know I've asked this many times before, but if someone wants them they are free to have them to program, and post.  (just give me credit for building them, of course)

Models Include:
a custom sci fi gunship (reminiscent of the whitestar class gunship)
Confederation Hellcat mk. 5 (from the wing commander game series)
and several others.

They are all in .3ds format and made in gmax.  Please I'm begging someone to do the programming, I've spent hours building these aircraft and am bummed beyond belief that I can't get them set up for fs9.  As I said they are free, just give me credit for their construction.

Just curious,

Why are you offering *.3ds format, and not the *.gmax format since you say that they are made in Gmax. You might get a better response if the *.gmax file is offered instead.

I'll give it a whirl, as long as they are in *.gmax form, like FSEdge said.

Well more specifically, the hellcat was made in gmax.  I was a bit mistaken there sorry.  And the gunship was made in 3ds max 5 (a college project) and was exported as the .3ds mesh file.  As far as I know there is an import maxscript that will allow .3ds mesh files to import in gmax.  Though as detailed as the craft are none of them have landing gear.  I haven't got the knack yet for constructing landing gear(but I am working on it), its a bit easier for me to learn to build in gmax, and 3ds max than it is for me to program an airplane.

I will work on converting them from my 3ds files into gmax files.  I appreciate anyones help.  These planes have been practically gathering dust on my hardrive.  If anyone can get them working, I can just say thanks.  Especially for the gunship.  I built it for my graduation project with the expectation of having fixed up for fs9.

Remember - gmax 1.2 imports 3DS directly.  I believe that if you collapse all stacks in 3DMax before exporting to 3DS, all your texture mapping and animation assignents *should* cross over.

Ender Baron, I've e-mailed the planes to you.  I have had to change emails since i've left college, so the sender e-mail address is dls1@adelphia.net.
